ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

Hello friends and neighbors,

 

I’m a long-time Minnesotan and recently retired executive. While attending the University of St. Thomas, I worked as a custodian at the White Bear Schools. My mother graduated from the school district back in the day. So, I have a history with the district.

 

Upon graduating from St. Thomas, I got married and began a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and worked with Honeywell Inc.

 

During my career, I worked with K-12 schools in creating healthy and effective facilities and, most recently, with a nonprofit on the impacts of social media on childhood development.  I have a passion around education.   

 

After living in Detroit, Phoenix and Chicago, we decided to return home to Minnesota with our three children because of the great school system. It was the right decision, then. Now, 25 years later, with nine grandchildren (two in our school district) I seek the same goals as when we moved back– great schools for our kids.
